Wairoa’s Aerodrome

“I think it is very satisfactory to know that the matter is going on and that the board is looking ahead, so that when we have an aerodrome it will be a suitable one." stated the Mayor of Wairoa. Mr. H. L. Marker, at the monthly meeting of the Wairoa Borough Council, when advice was received from the Wairoa Harbour Board Ural it had decided to purchase the land necessary for the construction of an aerodrome in Wairoa. In its letter the board gave an undertaking that none of the money raised by way of a loan to purchase the land would be spent on buildings or ground improvements without first consulting the other local bodies.—Special.
