SCHOOL DESTROYED

Early on Thursday morning the | Waihi East School was totally clo- | strayed by lire. The school consisted; of five classrooms, with a roll number of 169. The headmaster, Mr. W. H. Stainton, lost a valuable library. The school museum, containing a rare collection of curios and specimens, was also destroyed. .Nothing was saved.
