SCHOOL CONCERT (Herald Correspondent.) The close of the school year at the Muriwai School was marked bv a concert in which the majority of the pupils took part. There was a variety of items, instrumental and vocal, and a number of songs in unison, all of which the children enjoyed to the full. In the absence of the chairman of! the school committee, who was unable) to be present, the headmaster presented to ’Form II pupils school certificates and also the certificates for home garden projects to those who had completed this work Congratulations were extended to the pupils who had successfully completed a course in first aid, to which they had voluntarily devoted a considerable amount of out of school lime Mrs. W. Lister, who has been an inmate of the Cook Hospital, lias returned home.—Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Mills, after a brief visit to Rotorua, returned to Muriwai yesterday. —Miss J. G. Richards, of the Muriwai School is spending the school vacation with her parents in Eltham, Taranaki. Mr. and Mrs. J. Cox and family have left for Auckland. —Mrs. E. Toroa is at present in the Cook Hospital.—Mrs. J. M. Clark, Auckland, who has been spending the last lew j weeks in Muriwai, is returning to her j home.
