Sir Robert Kindersley has been conducting these investigations over the past 11 years, and his conclusions rre recognised as authoritative and accepted bv economists and statisticians as the basis for other statistical sludies. According to his calculations for 1938, there was not a repatriation of capital amounting to £10,000,000. While the nominal value of foreign securities held by the British owners declined by £01,000.000 the total remained at the impressive figure of £3,692,000,000.
