Warship Sensation Recalled
An incident which occurred on board 11.M.A.5. Perth, when the cruiser visited New York in August, i s recalled by the presence in Auckland of 16 members of the crew. V hen interviewed they scoffed at what had been reported as a mutiny on the ship, and explained that a number of the men, objecting lo wearing white suits for shore leave, sat down and refused to comply with orders. The incident, they said, soon passed, and happy relations were resumed. despite magnified publicity. The visitors, including 12 ratings and four chief petty officers, will leave shortly for Sydney to join another naval vessel.
