CARNIVAL SEASON
COMPETITIVE SWIMMING GISBORNE CLUB EVENTS The competitive swimming carnival season is to be opefted on Monday evening at the Macrae Bath by the Gisborne Amateur Surf and Swimming Club, splendid entries having been received by the club from an enthusiastic membership. Although no special events have been arranged by the committee, -a series of close contests that should be of interest to ihe public following the sport has been arranged. The first points of the season will be allotted for the winners in the opening events tor the Gordon and Lockie cups.
