FLOATING DEBT EXCHEQUER RETURNS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.rn. RUGBY, Dec. 12. The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue amounted to £274,898,000, compared with £237,986,000 at the corresponding date last year. The total expenditure, less self-bal-ancing items, was £781,789,472, compared with £695,132,858 a year ago. The floating debt outstanding on December 9, was £1,472,975,000, a net increase of £552,663,000 since the beginning of the financial year and against £1,018,000 at the corresponding date of 1938.
