Sir, —I notice a decided improvement since my last letter. The Kaiti sewerage has been diverted into the septic tank, but the sumps in the vicinity of the Masonic Hotel are still laden with filth. It is a good job Santa Claus comes down the chimney; if he had to go down these 1 sumps he would not be so popular. On the other side of the road by Ah Tong, there ah sumps that do pong. WHY PAW.
