ATTACK BY CHAINED BULL Fatally gored bv a bull, a Kaikoura farmer. Mr. J. M. Curtain, aged G 5, valked 200yds. to his home for assistance and then died a few hours later in hospital. Mr. Curtain was walking -ast the chained bull when it ittacked him and inflicted severe ablominal injuries. For many years Mr, Curtain was i member of the Kaikoura Trotting Club and the Agricultural and Pasoral Association. He had lived all his ife in the Kaikoura district. A former director of the Kaikoura Dairy Company, he was a foundation member of the Kaikoura Bowling Club.
