SHEEP MARKET FIRM
A large entry of all classes of fat sheep met with a steady demand at the Frankton stock sale on Tuesday. Prime wethers were keenly sought. A better tone existed for fat lambs. Store sheep maintained late rates. There was a large yarding of all classes of cattle. Values for ox beef showed a decline, but cow and heifer beef remained firm
Sheep.—Heavy prime fat wethers 24s to 25s 3d; medium, 22s 9d to 23s Gd; lighter, 2!s to 225; unfinished. 19s 6d to 20. s Gd: fat ewes, IGs 9d to 18s Gd; medium. 14s to IGs; light and unfinished. 10s to 13s 3d; fat lambs, 22s to 24s 9d; lighter, 17s 3d to 20s Gd; story wethers. 17s (id: cull wethers. 13s 9d"
