NEW YORK, Oct. 27. The French Line said yesterday it is costing approximately £2OO a day, above pier rental, to keep the super liner Normandie tied up in the safety of New York Harbour. The line said the cost until two weeks ago was about £SOO a day but tins was reduced when almost 1200 crew members were sent back to France. The cost includes wages of 125 members ,of the crew, food and protection'money. The line leases its pier and does not include that in the cost.
