209 ACRES TO BE BOUGHT SPECIAL MEETING HELD (Special to tlio Herald.) WAIROA, this day. A definite step towards the establishment of an aerodrome in Wairoa was made at a special meeting of the Wairoa Harbour Board yesterday for the purpose of discussing the question of securing the necessary land. According to an announcement made after the meeting the board decided to purchase the 115 acres of land contained in the Paeroa block, which is situated in the vicinity of the railway station, and that arrangements be made to purchase a further block to bring the total area up to 209 acres.
