The Trevanion of 5299 tons which is reported to be overdue and considered lost, was carrying cargo from Port Pine. South Australia, to Swansea. She left Capetown on October 17. Nothing has been heard of her since. A Stockholm message states that a German warship seized the Estonia en route to Stockholm with PolishJewish refugees. She was sighted off the Swedish coast under the German flag. Stockholm also reports that an unknown submarine torpedoed the Garoufalia off the Norwegian coast. Four members of the crew were drowned. Twenty-five were saved. The' Kassari was also sunk 'by a submarine. It <s believed she was attacked bv a Russian craft. All the members' of the crew were saved.
