PROFIT FROM WRECK
An enterprising Bluff youth made a good profit out of the stranded steamer Waikouaiti. Armed with a pair of binoculars, he took up his stand just past Stirling Point, near where the vessel went on the rocks, and charged his customers threepence for a view of the wreck. His day's takings amounted to 225.
