INTER-CLUB BOWLS
FISKEN CUP SERIES COMPETITION POINTS Two bowling matches in the interclub series for the Fisken Cup were played on the Gisborne green on Thursday afternoon and both games were won by Gisborne. Four series of matches have been played in the competition and Gisborne heads the list with 15 points to Kahutia’s 13 and Poverty Bay[s 12. Another fixture in the competition was held in To Karaka this afternoon between Poverty Bay and Te Karaka representatives. The following are the results of Thursday's games:— Welhnm. Baldrey. Olsen, Walker (s>, Gisborne, 34 v. Taylor’s rink, •Tolaga Bay, 7. Butler, Quigley, Balfour, 11, E. Bright (s), Gisborne, 20 v. Tempest’s rink, Tolaga Bay, 14. Gisborne Club Meeting At Thursday evening’s meeting' of the Gisborne Bowling Club Mr. V. Butler was appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the departure of Mr. R. Surgenor. The Gisborne club proposes to hold a progressive pairs tournament on December 24.
