WILD PIG-SHOOTING is a popular sport in many parts of New Zealand. The immence boar seen in the photograph was shot at “Narrow Neck,” Whiteman’s Valley, Wellington. It was 6ft. Gin. from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail, stood 34in. high, and had a girth of 4ft. 2½in. It was one of the largest boars shot in the district for some years.
