SCHOOLBOY PATROLS
START AT KOPUAWHARA A.A. SAFETY SERVICE The A.A. schoolboy patrol system was started yesterday at Kopuawhara under the direction of fhe headmaster, Mr. G. A. Reid, and the resident A.A. patrol, Mr. G. V. Merton. Mr. Merton said that the general practice at the country schools required little alteration to come under the A.A. system. The pupils of the schools were keenly interested in the appointment of patrols, usually selected from the older children. White dust coats with arm badges were being provided by the association for the use of the safety patrols to distinguish them from the other pupils.
