N.Z. FROZEN PRODUCE AUSTRALIAN WOOL (Per Press Association i WELLINGTON, this day. When the Blue Star liner Doric Star, which is believed to have been sunk in the South Atlantic by a German raider, finished loading in New Zealand on October 20, all the refrigerating space was occupied by dairy produce and meat. She also carried a quantity of wool taken on at Australian ports.
She had two passengers from New Zealand, but they transhipped to another boat on reaching Australia and it is believed that she had no passengers when she sailed for England. The master was Captain W. Stubbs, chief engineer, Mr. V/. Ray, and the chief steward Mr. W. Gandy. The names of the other officers are not obtainable.
