Horticultural Freak
One of Nature's strange freaks was discovered to-day by Mr. J. K. Nasmith in a number of Tom Thumb lilies, a plant he has grown for many years. The tiny lily with its usual rich colouring in this instance was encased in -another larger perianth, forming a distinct double (lower with a single stamen. In all his years of experience with Tom Thumb lilies, Mr. Nasmith has never before discovered anything like this.
