STATE BUILDING
NEW AUCKLAND BLOCK Under a contract, involving approximately £14,000, rapid progress is being made by the Fletcher Construction Company', Limited, in the preparation of foundations for the new store and administrative centre of the State Marketing Department, at Auckland. Tenders for the actual building, which is expected to be of five storeys and may cost about £IOO,OOO, have not yet been called. The foundations are likely to be completed about Christmas.
