A much smaller yarding of beef at the Westfield stock sale yesterday sold under keen competition, although quotations remained unaltered. Extra choice ox beef made 37s per 1001 b.. choice and prime 33s to 365, unfinished 23s to 335; prime cow and heifer beef 29s to 355, secondary 22s to 30s.

Extra heavy prime steers made £l4 to £ls 2s 6d. heavy £l2 12s Cd to £l4 7s (id, medium £ll to £l2 15s, light £9 5s to £ll 15s, unfinished £7 to £lO ss; extra heavy prime cows and heifers £8 10s to £lO 2s Cd, heavy £7 to £8 17s 6d, medium £5 10s to £7 12s Cd, light £5 <p £0 7s 6d, aged and unfinished £3 10s to £5.

Values were generally easier for large entries of calves. Runners made £3 to £8; heavy vealers £4 16s to £6, medium £8 10s to £4 18s, light £3 to £3 17s, small £2 5s to £3 2s, smaller 18s to, £2 6s, bobby and rough 3s to £1 10s.

A good average yarding of pigs sold under steady competition at full late rates. Choppers made £2 to £3' Ills heavy baconers £3 9s to £4 4s, medium £3 13s to £3 13s, light'£3 7s to £3 12s: heavy porkers £2 13s to £3 4s, medium £2 10s to £2 IPs, light £2 6s to £2 9s. small and unfinished £1- 12s to £2 3s stores £1 10s ’to £2 ss; slips £1 4s to £1 14s; weaners 10s to £1 4s. Baconers averaged 6d to C.‘cl per lb., and porkers 6Jd to 7,’d per lb. . A keen sale at values improved on late quotations resulted • for 'a full sheep , entry. , Extra heavy prime wethers made 25s 6d to 28s 3d. heavy 24s to 25s 6d, medium 22s Od to 25s 3d, light 20s to 23s 9d. unfinished 14s to 20s Cd: heavy prime young and maiden ewes, 19s to 21s; extra heavy prime ewes 20s to 22s 9d. heavy 17s Orf to 19s 6d. medium 15s to 17s Od, light 12s to 15s, plain and aged 2s to 14s: medium to heavy prime hogge's 22s to 25s 3d, light 19s to 21s Cd. unfinished 13s Cd to 18s Gd.

An average entry of lambs sold keenly at slightly improved values. Extra heavy prime lambs made 26s to 26s 9d, heavy 24s Gd to 25s 6cl. medium 22s to 24s 6d, light 20s to 21s, small and plain 16s Od to 19s Od.
