CLASH ON BORDER

HUNGARIANS FIRED ON RUSSIAN TROOPS (Reed, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 1. A message states that Russian troops are reported to have fired on Hungarian sentries on the Ruthenian frontier. It is understood’that the clash was the result, of the action of the Hungarian authorities in seizing Soviet propaganda destined for Ruthenia and also the Hungarian hostility to Russia owing to the attack on the Finns with whom the Hungarians claim racial kinship. Additional labour battalions have been rushed to Ruthenia in order to complete the fortifications in view of the Russian concentrations.
