Several alteration.-; in Show procedure were agreed to at a meeting of the general committee oi the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association yesterday, it was agreed that a depot should be established at the roadside tor the receipt oi exhibits from those who did not have sufficient entries to secure exhibitors’ passes. Some difficulty was reported in securing sufficient accommodation for sheep at. the last Show, and it was agreed that temporary accommodation should be provided according to the needs of the time.

The question of providing additional horse-boxes was referred to the grounds committee, with power to act. In future the order of parade, the meeting agreed, would provide for the supreme champion of the beef breeds to lead the cattle section.

The meeting decided to accept the donation of a cup from Mr. J. A. Mitchell, Longlburn, for a new class for three shorn Romney hoggets t'o be bred in a registered flock, exhibitors to compete also in the class for one shorn Romney ram hogget.

A proposal to augment the water supply and to provide for fire protection was referred to the grounds committee.

On the suggestion contained in a letter from Mr. E. M. Bates, instructor in agriculture, Gisborne, who judged the seed and grain classes, it was agreed to ask merchants to assist in securing entries from farmers in the ryegrass classes.

Mention was made that Mr. H. Evans had completed 21 years of continuous service as a ticket-seller at the ghtes, and the meeting decided to send Mr. Evans a letter complimenting him on his long service with the association.

Forty-two new members were elected.

Permission was granted to the district central calf dub committee to hold the district calf club parade on the showgrounds on December .13.
