RESCUE OF CREW

LOST BRITISH SHIP VIOLENT EXPLOSION (Reed. Dec. 1, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 29. Thirty-eight members of the crew of the 'Liverpool steamer lonian, which was sunk off the east coast early on Wednesday, were landed at a north-east coast port by a British warship last night. No lives were lost though two members of the crew were injured by a voilent explosion which almost split the ship. All the boats got away.
