Hay Wire
Wire for tying baled hay is now unprocurable in Hawke’s Bay. One or two contractors have a supply .sufficient to last this season. The others are commencing this week to use light rope, about the thickness of a clothesline. One contractor stated that the rope had been tried out and was effective. He added that instead of having a lot of dangerous wire lying about the place next winter many farmers would have lengths of rope which will serve a multitude of useful purposes.
