1 Ai NJ I riUN BUTTER AND BACON FOUR OUNCES WEEKLY (Reed. Nov. 29. 2.20 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 28. The Minister of Food. Mr. W. S. Morrison, announced in the House of Commons that the rationing scheme for butter and bacon was being introduced on January 8. In each case the ration is 4oz weekly for every consumer. Sugar is not included in. the rationing scheme, but consumers were asked to register and restrict purchases to lib per head weekly. Customers in restaurants v/ill be allowed one-sixth of an ounce of butter per meal without coupons. Cooked bacon and ham will only be serveable on the surrender of coupons.
