At a largely-attended meeting of shop assistants in Te Aroha," tire following motion was carried unanimously :
‘‘That this meeting of Te Aroha retail employees is convinced that in a very short period stocks will be so deoleted that many of us will be forced out of employment, and desires to co-operate with other towns in their appeal to the Government to modify or relax the import restrictions."
