TRIPS OVER GERMANY
MORE R.A.F. HOPS NAZI LAND RAIDS FAIL USE OF SMOKE SHELLS (Reed. Nov. 29, 12 noon) LONDON, Nov. 28. The British Air Ministry announces that aircraft of the Royal Air Force carried out successful flights over north-west Germany last night. A French war communique says that a local infantry engagement occurred in the region east of the Moselle. For the first time since the outbreak of the war the Germans used smoke shells during a raid about 10 miles east of the Moselle. The raid failed.
