America and the War
Despite an evident friendliness toward Britain, the Americans are definitely opposed to being drawn into the war, according to a well-known Hastings resident, Mr. 11. Harvey, who has returned from an extended tour of Europe and the United States. In business circles in which he had moved in the past few months he found a lack of understanding of Britain’s motives in going to war, he said.
