NO CHANGE IN MEANTIME A report was submitted to the meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council last night stating that the works committee had met representatives of the Taxi Proprietors’ Association and Amalgamated Taxis, Limited, in regard 1.0 a request from Amalgamated Taxis to operate its cars from either the Peel street or Gladstone road stands.

The council decided to hold the matter over until the TransportLicensing Authority, had considered the question of licensing taxi-cabs in Gisborne.
