SALE IN MORRINSVILLE
KEENER INQUIRY The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company. Limited, reports that at a special sale of store cattle, ex East Coast, held in Morrinsville on Monday, a full yarding came forward before a keen and interested bench of buyers. The recent wet weather has resulted in a keener inquiry. and a most satisfactory sale with values very firm for all classes
of grown cattle, has to be reported. Younger cattle were not in such brisk demand, but female stock sold freely. Several lines were passed at auction, but changed hands by private treaty, and altogether a satisfactory clearance was effected. Quotations. —Three and four-year Her-Aord steers in forward condition. £9 2s to £9 15s; ,3 and 4-year Polled Angus .steers in forward condition, £9 to £9 12s (id; 3-year Hereford and Polled Angus steers in forward condition. £8 .is to £8 Ids; 3-year Polled Angus and Hereford steers in store condition, £7 5s to £7 Ids; 3-year Shorthorn steers in store condition, £7 4s to £8 8s; 2 and 3-year mixed coloured steers, £t Gs to £G ss; 2-year Polled Angus and Hereford steers, £3 14s to £5 13s; yearling Polled Angus and Hereford steers, £2 5s to £2 18S; 2-year Polled Angus heifers, £0 Is; yearling Polled Angus and Hereford heifers. £2 to £3; smaller mixed coloured yearling heifers, 25s to 3Cs; 2year Hereford heifers, £3 15s to £4 7s; Hereford and Polled Angus cows, £5 2s to £O.
