CANADIAN PURCHASE

NEW ZEALAND WOOL OVERCOMING SHORTAGE (Klcc. Tnl. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Nov, 28, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 26. The Ottawa representative of the New York Times says that Canada has fixed the price of wool at Is lOd per lb., and overcome the shortage by the purchase of £1,000,000 worth of British-held New Zealand wool, thus meeting the objections of a number of independent dealers in insisting on an increase because of the shortage and the United States’ quotation of 2s 3d per lb.
