WOOL APPRAISEMENT

COMPLETION TO-DAY 23,500 BALES IN NORTH (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The first appraisement of wool in Auckland for Government purchase under the arrangement made with the United Kingdom is expected to be completed to-day. When the appraisal was commenced on November 18, only about 14,000 bales were in store, but the wool has been coming in so rapidly that about 23,500 bales will have been dealt with when the task is completed.

Prompt date for payment to the growers will be December 12, or 14 days after the completion of appraisal. In normal seasons prompt date is fixed at the same period after the sale.
