SURRENDER REFUSED

YACHTING TROPHY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP (Elc;c. Tdl. Copyright—-Unifod Press Assn.) (Heed. Nov. 22, 2.1 U p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 22. Mr. B. Swinburne, commenting oil the demand by the Eighteen-footers Sailing League for the world championship cup. which he won in 1938, said: “Taree is still the world's champion. I won’t give up the trophy until it is properly won." The league wants to send the cup to New Zealand for presentation to Mr. G. Chamberlain, whose boat Manu was declared the champion last season by the Australian board of control. Mr. Swinburne claims that the squashing of his appeal against disqualification in the 1939 title series held in New Zealand was unconstitutional.
