Included in the 120 New Zealanders training as an anti-tank unit in England arc S. 13. Aleock and R. F. Thomas, of Gisborne, and R. O. Baird, of Wairoa.

'Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Lockic and family, Tauranga, are visiting Gisborne for a few days, being the guests of Mrs. Lockie's mother,. Mrs. J. F. H. Macnamara, Childers road.

Mr. A. Coleman, S.M.. left Gisborne yesterday afternoon for Wairoa. After presiding to-day at the court there, he will return this evening to Gisborne. Mr. Coleman will be acting magistrate for the Gisborne district until Christmas.

At a meeting of directors ol Todd Motors Corporation, Limited, Mr. James Fletcher, managing director of the Fletcher Construction Company. Limited, was appointed to till the vacancy on the directorate caused by the death of the late Mr. Edwin P. Yaldwyn.
