ARMED GERMAN LINER

RAIDER SLIPS TO SEA WINDHUK’S ARMAMENT (Reed. Nov. 21. 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 20. The Capetown correspondent of the British United Press says that the German liner Windhuk, which with the Adolf Woermann slipped out of the Portuguese East African port of Lobito is disguised at British. She is carrying full armament, with her speed increased beyond peace-time requirements. Her crew were picked from the crews of German vessels taking refuge in Lobito. The Adolf Woermann is believed to have been used as a decoy to enable the Windhuk to get away.
