In the match at Brisbane New South Wales beat Queensland by three wickets. New South Wales, having made 206 runs in the first strike, scored 268 in the second for seven wickets. Dixon took four wickets for 67 runs. Queensland had scored 290 runs in the first and 263 in the second innings.
