TENNIS COURT OPENED (Herald Correspondent.) Perfect weather conditions prevailed at Motu last week-end, when Mr. and Mrs. 11. C. Boys entertained a number of tennis enthusiasts for the opening ol' their court at "fbsley.” The court was in excellent order and many enjoyable sets were played. A delicious picnic luncheon was served by the hostess, assisted by her two daughters, the Misses Julian and Diana Boys, and a refreshing tea was enjoyed by the guests - in the cool of the evening. ■Mrs. Boys was wearing a smartly cut frock of pink and white striped linen, and Miss Julian Boys wore a sports suit of fawn silk linen. Among the guesfts were Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Reed, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Wright, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Nisbett; Mrs. F. A. Clark; Misses B. and M. Fisher. B. Tombleson, J. Twisleton and U. Reed; Messrs. T. A. and J. Tombleson, N. Thornton, A. Crozier, L. MacDonald, W. 11. Boys, and S. Davis.
The Bishop of Waiapu, the Rt. Rev. G. V. Gerard, will conduct a confirmation service in St. Paul’s Church, Motu, this evening and later will meet members of the parish in the institute room. The Motu School Committee has arrangements well in hand for a dance to be held in the Motu Hall on Saturday in aid of funds for the dental clinic which has been established at Matawai,
