A RECORD DEMAND
TREASURY BILLS (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9 a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 18. The total amount applied for tenders for £65,000,000 in Treasuiy bills was £105,830,000—a record application, which has only once been exceeded in special circumstances, in January, 1939.
The average rale per cent for bills at three months was 23/B.Old. against 34/4.66d a week ago.
Tile amount to be offered next week is £65,000,000.
