NAMED AFTER CAR
CENTREPOISE’S STORY li.v “Trenton’’ The recent form of Centrepoisc makes the story of his acquisition by the Messrs. Avison Brothers very interesting. His dam, Monctte, was a failure, and R. Gregory sold her to the brothers for £25. They had intended to buy a gar, but put the money into the mare, who subsequently dropped a eoit to Hunting Song. The colt was called Centrcpoi.se after a feature of the car they had intended to buy. The form of Cenlrepoi.se is a high tribute to the ability of the young Hastings trainer, Harold Griffith.
