WAIROA BOWLS
WILSON ROSEBOWL SEMI-FINALS PLAYED (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. A big muster of bowlers was present on the Wairoa Bowling Club’s green on Saturday, when the semi-finals in the Wilson Memorial Roscbowl competition were played. Play was very keen in both matches, the winners having only a small margin to their credit when the last heads were played. Scores:—Johnson, Pcct, R. Stuart (s.) 24 v. N. Crarcr, L. Ebbitt, Ainsworth (s.) 23; G. Stuart, Pemberton, A. Smith (s.) 20 v. Anisey, Lunny, Forster (s.) 18.
The final will be played next Saturday between Stuart and Smith’s teams.
