The Sheik of Bahrein stressed the gratitude which the Moslems in the Persian Gulf owed to Britain for the help and protection both now and in the past.
lie stated that all Moslems were on the side of the democratic Powers in the fight against Hitlerism. Profound loyalty to the KingEmperor and whole-hearted sympathy with the British cause was placed on record by the Coorg Legislative Council, which offered its fullest co-opcra-tion and asked that a permanent unit !s»f Coorg inhabitants be formed in the regular Indian Army.
