"Business in the carpel manufacturing industry in England is better than it has ever been." said Mr. N. .1. Suckling, of Wellington, on his return from a visit to England, lie said the industry had experienced a marked fillin as the result of most manufacturers transferring their activities to supplying Army bankets for the Government. "It is generally anticipated, however, that there may bo a shortage of wool," added Mr. Suckling.
