FAREWELL PARTY

AIR FORCE TRAINEE TF. KARAKA FUNCTION (Herald Correspondent.) Mr. H. Sinclair, who leaves next week to go into training for the air force, was the guest of honour at a farewell party given by Mr. and Mrs. W. Greggan at their home in Te Karaka on Thursday evening. Card tables were arranged in the sitting-room, where the guests spent a pleasant evening chatting and playing cards. At the conclusion of play, Mr. J. Gobdley, on behalf of those present, expressed their regret at Mr. Sinclair's impending departure and their good wishes for his future, and presented him with a handsome leather suitcase as a token of their esteem. Mr. Sinclair suitably replied. A delicious savoury supper was served by the hostess. The guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. Goodley; Mrs. R. Stephenson; Miss M. Stephenson; Messrs. H. Sinclair, F. and D. Goodley. J. Stephenson, W. O'Grady, and H. Lynn.
