CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING
The assistance and co-operation of the 204 clubs and 58 associations comprising the English Cross-Country Union have been offered to the Army Sports Control Board for the encouragement, promotion and organisation of cross-country snort amongst the troops, thus following the precedent set with such success during the war of 1914-18. Normally over 10,000 runners take part in the sport every Saturday. This season participation in the pastime will be particularly encouraged amongst youths of from 15 to 18 years of age.
