MINIATURE RIFLES FIRST SHOOT FOR TROPHY (Herald Correspondent.) The first shoot of a series of two for the Bluck Trophy took place in Kopuawhara this week. With the final shoot for the trophy next week, the indoor season will close and an out-door programme of activities will commence on Saturday, November 24. Scores were: G. Smith, G 8.14; Miss Pemberton, 68.06; C. Smith, (37.94; Miss Kerr, C7.BG; F. Pemberton, 67.65: J. Zidich, 67.41; E. W. McEnnis, 67.37; J. Stewart, 67.21; Mrs. Pemberton, 67.05; C. Hornig, 66.73; F. Lowe, 66.45; J. Doyle, 66.13; J. Milliard, 66.11; D. Tamm, 65.05; J. Highet, 63.21. Tennis Ladder Tennis is now in full swing and in fine weather the courts are well patronised. At present Mrs. E. Fairlie is top on the ladies' ladder, with Mrs. Anderson second. On the men's side, T. Kelly, inn., is leading, with 0. Smith in second place. Billiards and Snooker In their recent billiards and snooker tournament against Paritu, Kopuawhara players were successful in annexing the Clarke Memorial Cup, which has been held by Paritu for some time. This cup was presented abbut a year ago to perpetuate the memory of Mr. Fred Clarke, who lost his life in the February flood of last year.
