REQUEST BY LABOUR OBJECTIVE OF ALLIES (Reed. Nov. 17, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 16. The Leader of the Opposition, Major C. R. Attlee, speaking in the House oi Commons, welcomed the reference, to conversations with the Dominion Ministers, but regretted that no reference had been made to discussion of the peace aims with them. The.world wanted to know more specifically for what we were fighting said Major Attlee. The Government was not looking far enough ahead. It was neither planning for peace nor the war effort. A clearer statement ol the aims would have a great effect on j the morale of the troops and also the : people on the home front.
