The Instanbul correspondent of the Daily Herald says that M. Tarentjev, the Soviet Ambassador to Turkey has asked the Government of Turkey whether it is willing to reopen the negotiations with Russia. He suggested that Russia might bo ready to sign the pact originally proposed if Turkey would agree to the reservations which the Soviet Prime Minister, M. Molotov, sought in connection with the pact between England, France and Turkey. Britain and France had agreed to these reservations before further Russian demands interrupted the conversations.
Turkey, it is understood, told M. Tarentjev that she must first consul: with .Britain and France.
