NORTH STAR SAILS BYRD’S EXPEDITION (Reed, Nov. 16, 2.50 p.m.) BOSTON, Nov. 15. The North Star, the first ship of Rear Admiral Byrd’s expedition to the Antarctic, departed to-day in command of Captain Isak Lystad Drew and a crew of 30. The ship carries scientific equipment and food supplies. .
