PRINCESS LOSES CASE

CLAIM ON ROTHERMERE VIEW OF CONTRACT NOT ONE FOR LIFE (Reed. Nov. 16, noon.) LONDON, Nov. 15. Judgment in favour of Lord Rothermere, with costs, was given to-day .in the action in which a Viennese, Princess Stefanie of Hohenlohe-Walden-bourg, the divorced wife of a Hungarian magnate, sued Lord Rothermere for an alleged breach of contract concerning an appointment as Lord Rothermere's personal foreign representative at a salary of £SOOO a year.

Mr. Justice Tucker said he was satisfied that Until June of 1938, the princess was still at Lord Rothermere’s call, but she was paid until December of 1938, when the contract expired through effluxion of time. Lord Rothermere never undertook contractually to vindicate the princess, or promised contractually to maintain her for life.
